The Conference is a hybrid event and offers in person and virtual attendance. Please note that workshops are available for in person delegates only.
Conference Program
The Conference program will be available at the time of registration: highlights include advances in the 3Rs, animal welfare assessment, training, ethical review, compliance initiatives and openness, and both laboratory animal and wildlife topics will be covered. Workshops are also included, during the main session and also post-conference.
Presentations will be designed for members of all Animal Ethics Committee categories as well as any others with an interest in the ethics and welfare of animals used in research or teaching including scientists and members of the broader community.
The conference aims to foster informed discussion and debate with respect for differing views. The popular breakout sessions will facilitate small group discussions, and there will be plenty of opportunities for networking and exchange of ideas.
ANZCCART AEC Member of the Year Award
This award was created by ANZCCART to recognise the excellent service offered to Animal Ethics Committees by their members and in 2017 the award was extended to recognise two exceptional members each year, one in Australia and one in New Zealand.
Each award recipient will be decided by the ANZCCART Board of each country and accordingly, nominations should now be sent to the appropriate office so they can be judged in accordance with the guidelines.
Nominations close on 20th April for New Zealand and 30th April for Australia.
